GSK required seamless and hygienic GRP doors for their factory refurbishment.
Solution
Dortek supplied and installed hinged and sliding doors, both fire rated and non fire rated with automations. Our doors are able to offer the ultimate solution for harsh bio manufacturing environments where high temperatures and liquids can prove problematic. The seamless and inorganic properties of our doors also provide the best defence against bacteria and possible contamination.
The hospital required hygienic door systems for the refurbishment of its maternity unit.
Dortek supplied 1 hour fire rated doors across the maternity and Gynae operating theatres. Dortek hygienic doors have a seamless construction which makes them impenetrable for dirt, moisture or bacteria. This makes the doors ideal for areas within high hygiene standards and rigorous cleaning regimes.
AZ required door solutions for their latest project. AZ will spend 285m on a new biologics manufacturing facility in Södartälje, Sweden. The plant will focus on the filling and packaging of protein therapeutics and supplying medicines for the clinical trial programmes of AZ and its Medimmune subsidary.
Dortek Interdoor supplied this project with hygienic hinged GRP doors with stainless steel frames. Dortek have been working and supplying doors on the AZ site for many years.
Dortek supplied a combination of fire rated and non fire rated doors and they were tested to meet Swedish fire standards. Dortek worked with the design team to provide frame and door systems to meet the clients requirements. This included frame systems flush with new and existing wall types within the facilities, air pressure regimes, access control for security and room entry with card readers. The client had strict door specification requirements with no voids within the door or frame, flush door and vision panels, and good sealing ability of air pressure regimes. All of which the Dortek have many years specialist experience in.
GSK Biologicals required hygienic door solutions for their new manufacturing plant. Belgium hosts 3 main vaccine sites for GSK (in Wavre, Rixensart and Gembloux).
Dortek have supplied multiple projects across both Wavre and Rixensart sites. Dortek supplied hygienic fire rated hinged and sliding doors throughout the facilities. Doors were fire rated to Belgium standards to meet Ei 1 60 requirements.
Dortek installed doors across ISO 6,7 and 8 cleanrooms. Dortek integrated doors into double plasterboard cleanroom wall and masonry walls. Our doors have a range of seals to manage air pressures. Dortek also provided access control with the doors especially for personnel and material airlocks. The doors unique, hygienic and non absorbent properties make them ideal for pharmaceutical facilities.
The project brief was very technical, critical care and isolation areas needed to maintain a pressure differential of 50 pascals. Walls and doors needed to be flush glazed glass with blinds to maintain privacy.
Dortek supplied hermetically sealing sliding glass doors for critical care patient isolation rooms. Doors were automated with interlocking to maintain air pressure control an hands free access.
MSD required hygienic door systems for its new state of the art vaccine facility.
Dortek have worked on similar vaccine facilities throughout the world and were chosen by MSD and the project architects to provide the GRP hinged and sliding doors for high hygiene areas, including electrical and pneumatic automations and sophisticated interlocking systems. Our engineers installed and commissioned all doors as part of a full turnkey system.

Dortek supplied hygienic hinged fire rated doors and hinged non fire rated doors with automations. The doors were used throughout research laboratories which are used to research cancer treatments. Internal windows with blinds were also installed in many of the doors to provide patient privacy.
