ISPE Awards Facility of the Year to Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) announced today Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals as the 2014 Facility of the Year Awards (FOYA) Overall Winner at the society’s annual meeting in Las Vegas, NV.

Pfizer Ireland’s Network Strategy Implementation (NSI) Expansion Capacity project challenged the company to add capacity by re-purposing an existing manufacturing space for a new vaccine suite and a new multiproduct small-to-medium scale drug substance bioprocess suite at the Grange Castle plant in Clondalkin, South County Dublin.

Dortek supplied hygienic fire rated swing and sliding doors throughout the facility. The doors unique smooth, hygienic and non absorbent properties make them ideal for pharmaceutical research and manufacturing facilities.

Dortek Install Ultra Clean Theatre Doors at Salford Royal Hospital

Dortek have supplied ultra hygienic hospital doors for three new operating theatres at Salford Royal Hospital.

These technically advanced sliding doors help maximise space and are hermetic sealing, lead lined and fire rated.  Complete with automations and interlocking they have been designed to reduce the risk of contamination from air circulating in the corridors. They meet the required pressure for Operating Theatre and Anaesthetic Rooms in line with HTM03-01 much more effectively than swing doors.

The doors are essential for providing fire and radiation protection in treatment areas. Their smooth and seamless GRP construction makes them easy to clean, prevents bacteria from harbouring and minimises the spread of infection.
