Supporting Comic Relief 2017 at Dortek

£400 has been raised by Dortek employees who took part in a football fundraiser last week, in support of Comic Relief.

The 5-a-side teams were sales (blues) Vs operations (reds). It was a close match but the reds managed to clinch victory, ending the match with a 10-9 defeat.

A big thank you to all the staff who took part and to those who donated. As a leading door manufacturer supplying companies around the world, Dortek are pleased to be able to raise money to help the less fortunate in some of those countries.

Dortek doors achieve exceptional acoustic test results

Dortek has achieved impressive new acoustic test results for its versatile GRP doors. The tests included a series of assessments to establish the acoustic performance on a pair of Dortek doors both in a GRP frame and a Stainless Steel frame.

All doors were tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2: Sound Reduction Index. The pair of doors in the GRP frame achieved a sound reduction capability of between 36 and 38 dB dependent on the combination of seals employed.

The pair of doors in the stainless steel frame achieved a sound reduction capability of between 37 and 40 dB, again dependent on the combination of seals employed. The results are particularly impressive for a 40mm thick door and positions Dortek as a market leader in the GRP field.
