FRP Fire doors – cleanrooms and controlled environments.

We’re pleased to announce we recently successfully tested a pair of 108” (9’) high doors for 90 minutes to the UL10C standard. Our client engaged Dortek based on our proven ability to deliver FRP fire doors globally to the pharmaceutical industry.

FRP Fire doors play an integral role in keeping people and product safe in cGMP spaces. Fire rated cleanroom doors are specially designed to meet both the stringent requirements for cleanliness in a controlled environment and the safety standards for fire protection. This test adds yet another (larger) option to our global list of certified fire doors.

Did you know:
A UL 10C fire test involves mounting a door assembly within a test furnace, exposing it to a controlled, high-temperature fire for a predetermined duration, and then immediately following that with a direct water spray from a fire hose to simulate real-world fire conditions, all while monitoring the door’s ability to maintain its structural integrity throughout the process; essentially evaluating its fire resistance rating under positive pressure conditions.

Interlocking Doors

Product Overview of Interlocking Doors

Interlocking doors from Dortek are designed to provide safe, efficient and convenient means of opening and closing doors in a controlled environment. Our systems can be connected to many types of activation devices from basic push button to a fully integrated Building Management System.

Our systems can manage manual swing doors (hinged doors), manual sliding doors, automatic swing (hinged) doors, automatic sliding doors or automatic roll-up doors. The interactive LEDs on the control board show the real-time door statuses, electric lock statuses and red / green indicators.

A single control board can manage 2 doors but is part of a modular system in which 4 additional modules can be connected to manage a complex system of up to 10 doors.

The key features of the control board are the managing of automatic door interlocking and the interlocking of manual doors with access control devices. Installers, through the DIP switch configuration, can easily assign proprieties (whether the door is automatic or manual with access control devices) to the doors. The wiring of any type of access control device having a dry contact output, and the wiring of any communication with the automatic door is performed by landing wires on the removable terminal blocks on the module.
