Derriford Hospital is a large teaching hospital. The hospital serves Plymouth and nearby areas of Devon and Cornwall. It also provides tertiary cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery and renal transplant surgery.
Brief
The hospital needed specialist door solutions for its four new interventional radiology theatres where surgeons use x-rays, CT and MRI scans to guide their operations.
Solution
Dortek supplied our ultra hygienic access solutions across the hospital’s new hybrid theatres. Our doors were supplied with a combination of fire, laser and x-ray protection as well as being automated to provide easy access and reduce cross contamination. All hygienic doorsets have an ultra-flush, seamless surface to prevent bacteria from harbouring and make them easily wiped clean.
