St Mary’s Hospital is the major acute hospital for north west London as well as a maternity centre with consultant and midwife-led services. The hospital provides care across a wide range of specialities and runs one of four major trauma centres in London in addition to its 24/7 A&E department.
Brief
The hospital needed specialist door solutions for a refurbishment of its isolation and high containment rooms.
Solution
Dortek supplied hermetically sealing sliding doors and glass hinged doors across the isolation units. These doors are ideal for high containment areas where infection control is paramount. The patented track system has a 99% airtight seal helping to reduce airborne contamination and expensive air handling costs.
