The Heartlands hospital is the regional centre for vascular surgery in the Midlands. This new hybrid theatre is one of only three of its kind in the UK and a first in the Midlands.
Brief
The hospital required specialist fully encapsulated hybrid doors or their new hybrid operating suite.
Solution
Dortek’s specialist hybrid theatre doors were specified for the theatre and will play an essential role in maintaining infection control. Our hybrid doors offer a combination of fire, laser and x-ray protection as well as being automated to provide easy access. The hermetically sealing gasket system gives the door a 99% air tight seal in order to minimise the build up of airborne particles. Our hybrid doors have an ultra flush, seamless surface to prevent bacteria from harbouring and make them easily wiped clean.
