Ferring Pharmaceuticals
Ferring pharmaceuticals are a leader in reproductive medicine and maternal health, gastroenterology and urology. They have R&D centres in 12 countries. The Soundport project is the Danish Headquarters and largest R&D centre of Ferring Group with a total gross area of 37.500m2 divided into 8 main floors with 3 floors dedicated to R&D laboratories. The stunning architecture has been designed by the British architectural design and engineering firm Fosters + Partners.
Brief
The R&D laboratories required hinged and sliding fire rated doors complete with automation and safety sensors with touchless sensor activation.
Solution
Dortek supplied 26 specialist GRP fire rated hinged and sliding doors. The doors had 30 and 60 minute fire ratings. The doors were ideal to meet the high laboratory standards within pharmaceutical research as they are completely free from timber and other organic materials which can harbour bacteria. The doors also had to meet strict air pressure differentials as well as high acoustic ratings.
