Danone Nutricia, New Zealand
Danone, a global food company with annual revenue of NZ$35 billion, has 2 factories in New Zealand. In the South Island they have a spray drying facility at Balclutha and in the North Island a blending and packing operations in Auckland.
Danone needed interlocked pass through hatches to pass samples and scoops in and out from the production line. The interlocked pass through hatches meant that they could be passed from production line without the staff having to enter the higher hygiene zone.
Dortek supplied both the Auckland and Balclutha plants with Dortek’s Hygienic stainless steel Transfer Hatches. The hatches are manually interlocked with integrated vison panels for passing samples from production areas. The hatches also had sloped canopies to ensure easy cleaning and maintain high hygiene standards.
