The Olive Branch For Children – Dorteks Chosen Charity for 2019

A group of children smiling.
07/03/2019

The Olive Branch for Children is an amazing organisation founded by Deborah McCracken that helps children in remote communities of Tanzania. The organisation focuses on HIV/AIDS prevention and care, education, food security, and helping vulnerable children and women.

Dortek are hoping to help these communities by sending out a 40 ft container in June and we’re looking for help to fill it. We’re looking for children’s sports clothing, toys and equipment to help educate the children, aid physical development and most of all give them a reason to smile after the amazing medical volunteers have nursed them back to health.

The items will also help bring children together and learn vital team building skills to try and improve their communities for future generations to come.

Items we’re collecting include:

  • Sports shirts (individual or full teams)
  • Football boots
  • Sports shorts
  • Training tops
  • Sports socks
  • Skipping ropes
  • Rugby, tennis and Footballs
  • Football pumps
  • Cones/bean bags/flags
  • Racquets
  • Garden playground equipment such as: slides, goal posts or climbing frames
  • Teddy bears
  • Early learning toys (not battery operated).

If you’d like to help please email us at info@dortek.com or contact Laura and Chris at our UK office on 01482 226848 on our Irish office on +353 (0)404 67101 for more details.
