Brief

The institute’s work involves understanding why disease develops and finding new ways to treat, diagnose and prevent illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. The Crick is a consortium of the UK’s most successful scientific and academic organisations.

Solution

Dortek designed and installed more than 500 bespoke hygienic door and automation solutions throughout the facility. This included non fire rated and fire rated single action and sliding doors and hermetically sealing sliding doors. Our doors were essential for providing protection across hazardous fire areas. Our void free doors are hygienic, easy to clean, non absorbent and do not harbour bacteria. This makes them ideally suited to research laboratories which are sensitive to contamination.
