Dortek have been specified to supply and install our hygienic doors at two new state of the art Spire hospitals. One in Didsbury, Manchester and the other in Tollerton, Nottingham.

The new £63m Spire hospital in West Didsbury will replace the existing Spire Manchester Hospital in Whalley Range. The facility will provide increased theatre and ward capacity for patients and the capability for new services for the people of Manchester and surrounding areas. The new site on the corner of Princess Road and Barlow Moor Road will offer great facilities to patients and shows a commitment to research and education by Spire Healthcare.

The new £60 million hospital in Nottingham will be a contemporary and leading edge 56-bed facility, housing the latest in medical technology and equipped for the most complex surgeries. Once opened, the hospital will house three ultra-clean air theatres, one hybrid theatre designed for minimally-invasive surgery, a minor surgery theatre, 54 patient beds, five-bed HDU/ITU, MRI and CT scanning facilities and  a full range of surgical and medical treatments.

The buildings have been designed, analysed and detailed utilising the latest 3D BIM modelling software to promote efficient and collaborative working relationships. Construction has already begun on site with focus turning to the interior areas. Both hospitals are due to be fully operational by early 2017.

Spire Healthcare is one of the UK’s largest private hospital providers with 39 hospitals and 13 clinics nationwide. Dortek have also recently supplied specialist access solutions to Spire Hospitals in Southampton, Harpenden and Leeds. With two contracts secured for the refurbishment of Spire Macclesfield and Hartswood hospital.
