The Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing Philadelphia, US
The new institute will feature programs to annually educate and train up to 2,500 people, including biopharmaceutical professionals and bioprocessing engineering students, on how to produce potentially life-saving biotherapeutic drugs.
The Jefferson Institute required hygienic door solutions and automation systems to be installed throughout the facility.
The institute is designed to simulate a GMP manufacturing plant where biologics are made so it was crucial the doors met GMP standards. Dortek supplied FRP doors in Stainless Steel frames, cleanroom windows and pass through hatches. Dortek fibreglass doors are ultra clean, non porous and do not harbour bacteria, making them ideal for biopharmaceutical facilities.
