Fonterra Stanhope located 2 hours from Melbourne is a new refurbished cheese plant. The plant can process up to 1.3 million litres of milk every day and is a key plant to help meet the growing global demand for cheese, and particularly supplying to Australia and Asian markets.
Fonterra required fire rated and non-fire rated doors for their renovation project. The fire rated doors needed to comply with AS 1905 while also being non organic and hygienic to comply with the food grade requirements for the project. The doors were positioned in key areas like Starter Room and Production as well as External Fire Escape doors throughout the building.
Dortek provided our range of GRP fire rated doors to the project. The doors were positioned in keys areas where fire rating and hygienic standards were important. The flush, smooth and waterproof door meant that the doors were easily cleaned and ideal for high food hygiene manufacture.
